2022 Paint the Port Art Competition and Exhibition

Paint the Port provides artists from Gladstone, Rockhampton or Bundaberg with an opportunity to present artwork that provides a unique portrayal of port activities or infrastructure for a chance to win cash prizes.

Prizes

The winning entries in each category are as follows:

• Open Category

  • Winner - Jane Steers, 'Tugboat Life' - $1,000 acquisitive cash prize

  • Highly Commended - Erin Gane, 'Sunset Over Mt Larcom'

• High School Category

  • Winner - Matilda Arlegui Pereira, 'Nature By The Port' - $350 cash prize

• Upper Primary School Category (Year 4 to Year 6)

  • Winner - Liam Tangey, 'Me And My Dog At East Shores' - $75 cash prize

• Lower Primary School Category (Prep to Year 3)

  • Dual Winners - Ruby Farr, 'Wonder of East Shores' and Arlo Thetford, 'Which Shade Shall I Choose' - $75 cash prize

• *Special Additional Category - Celebrating 60 years of the Gladstone Harbour Festival Category

  • Winner - Christine Ward, 'Festival Time' - $500 acquisitive cash prize.
