Our Parklands

Soak up the sunshine and enjoy GPC's pristine parklands

Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) has an ongoing commitment to provide residents and visitors to Gladstone with greater access to the waterfront through the provision of exceptional parklands and facilities such as the Marina Parklands, Spinnaker Park and the East Shores — Gladstone Coal Exporters Maritime Precinct.

Together they put Gladstone on the map as being home to one of Australia's most outstanding Marina foreshore developments and recreational waterfront facilities.

Our parklands provide a place for residents and visitors alike to make use of facilities including a water play park, BBQs and picnic areas, sheltered seating areas, public amenities, a beached cove, native wetlands and ponds and 2.5 kilometres of walking tracks.

People wanting to use the parklands are encouraged to please read and adhere to our conditions of use and follow the park guidelines as signed.

GPC Marina Parklands and Spinnaker Park

Year in, year out, locals and visitors embrace the GPC’s Marina Parklands and Spinnaker Park as a venue for numerous events such as weddings, birthday parties and community events. The Marina Parklands is also home to several high-profile events including GPC's Port to Park, Gladstone’s Harbour Festival and the Mayor's Carols at the GPC Marina Main Stage.

Dogs are permitted within the Marina Parklands and Spinnaker Park and must be kept on a leash at all times.

Stage 1A of the parklands spans from what was Joseph Banks Park to the Auckland Point Terminal end of Flinders Parade and includes a water play park, waterfront boardwalk incorporating a viewing platform, BBQs and an abundance of green, open space to play.

Stage 1B of the parkland opened in August 2020, and includes a waterfront café, outdoor cinema, bootcamp facility, basketball hoops and plenty of green space.

East Shores provides a world-class recreational precinct for Gladstone residents and visitors of all ages to play, relax, exercise and enjoy the foreshore area.
