About Us
We are committed to growth, prosperity and the community, carrying out our operations in an effective, efficient and environmentally responsible manner.
Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) is Australia’s premier multi-commodity port — and with our deepwater port, land holdings and proximity to Asia we’re positioning Queensland for a strong future.
We’re a Government Owned Corporation (GOC) and the gateway for Australian trade, jobs and prosperity. With one in four jobs in regional Queensland reliant on trade we’re focused firmly on creating prosperity for all.
We manage and operate three port precincts — the Port of Gladstone, Port of Rockhampton and the Port of Bundaberg — and we have a 50-year vision for the future for these three key ports.
On 1 March 2022, management of the Port of Maryborough (PoM) was transferred to Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC), bringing benefits through closer geographic proximity of GPC’s existing ports and resources than those of North Queensland Bulk Ports. As a non-trading Port, GPC undertakes limited responsibilities associated with managing the PoM.
Our unique three-port footprint is core to our strategic advantage. Each port has a speciality focus so we can meet the needs of a wide range of customers.
We are a high-performance enterprise and have just delivered a record turnover of 124 million tonnes in 2018/19 and a strong dividend to the people of Queensland. Our unique dual operating model — with Port and Coal terminals — broadens our scope and capability as a multi-commodity port.
We’re on the verge of unprecedented opportunity — with globalisation, new energy, and new technology on the horizon, GPC is readying Queensland to take full advantage of the future.
