Sponsors revealed for Port to Park Fund Run 2021
More than a dozen sponsors have jumped on board to support Gladstone Ports Corporation’s
(GPC) new-look community fund run event, the Port to Park 2021.
The Port to Park FunD Run will see thousands of feet pound the pavement on Sunday, 15 August.
Industry giants in the region, media and local government are pitching in to make sure the event is
a community success.
Santos GLNG is flying the flag as Port to Park’s major sponsor while Smit Lamnalco, Gladstone
Entertainment Convention Centre and the Gladstone Regional Council are backing the fund run
with a gold sponsorship.
Silver supporters include APLNG Operated by ConocoPhillips, Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal,
Orica and Workforce Road Services.
The event is also being championed by Seven News, CQToday, Southern Cross Austereo’s Hit FM
and Gladstone News.
Executive General Manager, People and Community Rowen Winsor said the community focused
event aims to showcase GPC’s picturesque waterfront parklands as well as support local schools
and community groups.
“Santos GLG has been a long term supporter of GPC’s FunD run initiative which was previously
known as the Botanic to Bridge,” Ms Winsor said.
“Since its inception more than a decade ago in 2010, the initiative has raised more than $240,000
for local schools and injected $415,000 into the Gladstone community,”
“It’s also an event that plays a big role in supporting the community’s health and wellbeing by
encouraging locals to get out and practise for the big day!”
The course maps are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
