Board advises of senior management changes at Gladstone Ports
Corporation

The Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) Board of Directors has advised of a decision to commence a new search for the appointment of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The Board said its decision had been made to position the business for further success in light of various market challenges and the effects of COVID-19.

The Board has thanked Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr Craig Walker for his achievements during the past two and a half years while acting in the role of CEO.

Despite the challenges of COVID-19, GPC has cemented its role as one of the most significant contributors to the Queensland economy. The three regional ports in Central Queensland account for 35 per cent of Queensland’s total exports and more than $34 billion in trade value. Given one in four regional jobs relies on trade, GPC is instrumental in supporting jobs and prosperity.

Mr Walker will move into the role of GPC Chief Operating Officer and will continue to support GPC and its customers.

The Board will be providing further advice in the near future regarding the appointment of an interim CEO.
